Apart from the clasp, the new version is almost identical to the old one. The name "Dauphine" is derived from a French word, inspired by the wife of an early French royal figure. Don’t confuse it with Delphine Arault, the eldest daughter of LV's CEO and current VP of Louis Vuitton. In China, the name is affectionately nicknamed "Daphne" due to its pronunciation, which gives it a slightly cute and nostalgic vibe.
